Sept/Oct 2006

This is a photo of the wonderful Yosemite National Park. In the first picture, the granite monolith on the left hand side is El Capitan, which rises 3000 ft from the floor of Yosemite Valley. It is an awesome sight, and one I will never forget. We were visiting Yosemite on an organised tour of California. If we had been travelling on our own, we would have spent a great deal of time in Yosemite. It is superb.

The second photograph shows Half Dome, on the right hand side of the picture. It is truly massive, and very popular with climbers. It is probably my favourite mountain.

We were lucky to have visited Yosemite on such a lovely day. Our tour manager had warned us about the likelihood of fog and mist in the valley, so we were quite lucky to have some good photo opportunities. I would love to revisit this place.

This is Boston Public Park. The picture was taken on holiday in November 2005, on a lovely sunny day in the most beautiful city. Boston is well worth a visit. What a terrific place. So much going on, and so much variety too. It's a safe and decent place to be. The people were very friendly, the food superb, and it was a visit we'll never forget. A city for 'walking'. Take a sturdy pair of shoes !! Posted by Picasa

Rainy Day in March !

Hi all,
Here is the latest news, coming live from Pembrokeshire on this rainy day in March !! The Bahrain Grand Prix has been on the TV, and my other half (Geoff) has been glued to it for most of the transmission time.
The dogs are both sleeping on the sofa. Is there a better place to be ? They've had their walk around the block, but hey, they'd rather be curled up on a day like today. Not a patch of blue sky to be see, and steady rain coming down.
Oh, how I wish I was in Boston again, walking through Boston Common in the glorious sunlight !
